Every year the KHM awards a research prize totalling CHF 25,000 to one or more outstanding research projects in the field of primary care medicine.
With this prize, the KHM wants to promote and support research in primary care medicine. For a research project to be considered , it must meet the criteria of originality, methodology and significance.
The topic must also be important and relevant to primary care medicine in Switzerland. Of course, papers on paediatric topics (with a broader scope of application for the entire field of primary care medicine) can also be submitted to the KHM.
