Early Career Prize

Every year, the College of Primary Care Medicine awards an „Early Career Prize“ to promote in particular young academics in primary care medicine.

This prize is primarily aimed at young and future general practitioners (max. 6 years after state examination). A completed research article or a research protocol published or accepted by a peer-reviewed journal in the field of primary health care are eligible for the award. The submitted work will be judged on three criteria: originality, methodology and significance.

Deadline for submissions: January 31, 2025

Who: young and future primary care physicians domiciled in Switzerland or who are Swiss nationals but domiciled abroad. Entrants must have passed the state examination no longer than six years before applying for the Early Career Prize. 

What: Completed research articles or research protocols published or accepted by a peer-reviewed journal in the field of primary health care. 

Important: Entries must be submitted in English by electronic means and contain the following:

  • a curriculum vitae of the main author
  • the research paper/protocol

Price: 2’000 CHF
